Two women have escaped injury after being the victims of an alleged assault and carjacking in Batemans Bay.
Police say the 24 and 49 year olds were approached by a man just before 8 o’clock on Wednesday morning on the Perry Street carpark opposite the shopping centre.
He fled the scene before officers from the nearby police station arrived.

The stolen car was later found abandoned over 50 kilometres north at Ulladulla.
It has been seized for forensic examination.
