A Surfside man had told Batemans Bay Local Court through his lawyer, he didn’t rape a woman at knifepoint and rob her while armed with a knife as he is accused.
Solicitor Brett Ford formally entered not guilty pleas on behalf of 27-year-old Beaudi Vella yesterday.
Vella said little while appearing via video link from West Wyalong apart from acknowledging Judge Doug Dick when he spoke directly to him.

The 27-year-old, currently free on bail, is accused by police of sexually assaulting the stranger on a walking trail at Durras in November last year.
The case will now move up to the Bega District Court next month for a trial date to be set.
