A new facility to process organic waste in the Bega Valley is set to be established at Wolumla.
The NSW Southern Regional Planning Panel has just granted approval for the food and garden organic material.
The facility will be capable of processing up to 15,000 tonnes of FOGO waste annually in its first stage.

The council’s current Merimbula plant can only process 5,000 tonnes a year.
