A man has been refused bail after being arrested on suspicion of dealing with a commercial quantity of drugs in Batemans Bay.
Police carried out a search warrant at a waterfront hotel on Orient Street last Friday afternoon after being tipped off to suspicious activity.
“A search warrant was executed where police seized $47,125 in Australian currency, 590g cannabis leaf, 16.2g of cannabis oil, 398.7g synthetic cannabis, 34.1g of cannabis ‘brownies’, 27.5g of cocaine, 129.3g of MDMA, 2.1g of LSD, 30 vapes and 2 mobile phones,” Police said in a statement.
The 22-year-old man was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station and charged with 9 offences:
- supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to large commercial quantity;
- two counts of supply prohibited drug great than indictable and less than commercial;
- two counts of supply cannabis greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity;
- two counts of possess prohibited drug;
- deal with property proceeds of crime < $100000; and
- possess commercial quantity of vaping goods.
He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3where he was formally refused bail to appear in Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday May 25.
