A magistrate has reportedly told a man the door is not locked to get bail despite having his second attempt at freedom rejected.
Adam O’Connell, from Karabar, is one of three people charged in connection to robbery of the Catalina Club where a cash machine containing $60,000 was allegedly tied to a ute and driven away.
O’Connell is also charged with setting fire in the KFC loading dock as a police diversionary tactic.
The Telegraph reports Magistrate Doug Dick told O’Connell yesterday the DPP had deemed the nominated address for him to live at was not suitable because an individual living there had an extensive criminal record that goes for pages.
The 37-year-old listed a number of conditions to Batemans Bay Local Court he would happily follow.
But Magistrate Dick told him the decision would be reconsidered again if a new address was put to the court.
O’Connell and his two co-accused will reappear in court on May 4.
