Man dies after crash near Moruya

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash on the NSW South Coast.

About 6.50am today (Monday 24 July), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Moruya, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man – believed to be aged in his 30s – who died at the scene; he is yet to be formally identified.

Two other adults were treated at the scene and taken to hospital in stable condition. Their ages are not known at this time.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District have established a crime scene which will be forensically examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Significant delays impacted motorists between Moruya and Bodalla.

The Princes Highway was closed in both directions after the incident but reopened to one lane of traffic around 11am under alternating (stop/slow) traffic conditions.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time as traffic is heavy in the area.
