South Coast Youngsters selected in Giants Academy teams

Four highly talented youngsters from the South Coast have been selected to represent Greater Western Sydney’s Academy team.

Hunter Absolon from the Batemans Bay Seahawks and Bronte Pursell from the Merimbula Diggers, have been chosen for the Under 13’s girls Giants Academy team.

Both have had stella seasons in 2022, coming ahead in leaps and bounds.

Hunter started at the Auskick level and has developed in part with the help of her “legend mum”, who used to play for the Seahawks Women.

While Bronte played and kicked a goal in Merimbula’s Grand Final side that went down to Pambula over the weekend.

Zara Neil from Ulladulla has been taken in the Under 14’s Giants Academy female team and Kelsey Atkins also from Ulladulla, will represent the Under 15’s team.

Only seven kids have been selected from the South Coast region, spanning from Figtree to the Victorian border with these four, among the most promising.
