Police investigating fire on Mount Darragh Road

South Coast Police are investigating after emergency services were called to Mount Darragh Road, between South Pambula and Wyndham following reports of a grass fire.

About 10.30am on Monday (June 26), NSW Police and RFS officers attended the scene and found a grass fire in the area.

Westerly winds of up to 40km/h had crews worried the fire could spread quickly however the blaze was brought under control around midday by RFS crews and there were no casualties as a result of the fire.

South Coast Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
