Celebrating the completion of his new family home has cost a Tomakin man his licence for three months.
Batemans Bay Local Court has been told 39-year-old Adam Hughes was pulled over on May 8 and recorded a mid range reading.
His lawyer told the court the saying “The more you drink, the less you think” certainly applies to his client.
He tendered a letter of apology from the plumbing business operator and stated the offence was out of character.
Judge Doug Dick told Hughes “You’ve really created a problem for yourself.”
As well as getting a lift to jobs, the married father of two, who owns his own plumbing business, has also been fined $1100
