The lawyer for a man arrested for making threatening and sexually explicit calls to Bega businesses from payphones reportedly said his client feels ashamed.
Batemans Bay Local Court was told Kiwa Williams was also serving a community release order for “sexual” offending.
The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to three counts of making harrassing, threatening and offensive phone calls between February and last week.
Police say they caught him in the act at a payphone on Newtown Road on Thursday last week.
The Telegraph reports lawyer Adam Rand told the court…his client had no justification for the offending, labelling it a “misadventure” and “stupid”.
Williams was convicted, sentenced to a two year community corrections order and fined $750.
