The people of the Bega Valley no longer need to travel to Shellharbour or the ACT to visit a Bonds Outlet Store.

The importer of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and underwear owned by Pacific Brands Underwear Group, have thrown open the doors of their newest shop in the Bega Village Centre today (Thursday December 8).

Head of Retail operations with Haynes and Bonds, Monique Sierakowski (pictured above on left) said the local team are excited and ready to serve the people of the Bega Valley when the doors open for the first time this morning.

“We are very excited to open this store, it’s been a long time coming, and for Bega residents, we’ve heard the feedback that you’re sick of driving to Canberra and we’re very excited to open today,” Ms Sierakowski said.

“Really hopeful that any residents from Mallacoota to Batemans Bay and surrounds will head down, and while it is a bit of a drive for some of those customers, we have plenty of stock across all ages and categories,” she said.

As well as men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, the new Bonds Outlet Store in Bega has brought new jobs to the region.

Ms Sierakowski said the local team are excited and ready to serve the people of the South Coast when the doors open for the first time.

“We have 10 new team members in this store including a manager and an assistant manager and they have all been training busily to make sure they can help our customers coming into the busy Christmas period,” Ms Sierakowski said.

“We’ve seen an overwhelming number of people in the area who have been purchasing online or in Canberra, so we felt Bega was a real missed opportunity for a store where local customers can touch and feel, try on the product and not have to wait for it to arrive.”
