Max building height in the Bay to be significantly reduced

A maximum building height of 100 metres in Batemans Bay for future developments has been dumped by Eurobodalla Shire Council.

Councillors told during a workshop yesterday on a revised draft masterplan for the Bay would likely see that height reduced significantly.

The council said developers are indicating to them that 25 metres might be the sweet spot.

A new project plan for a draft Batemans Bay Masterplan is set to be put to a vote on June 30.

The revised approach follows an independent probity report was critical of the previous draft.
