A married couple in their 60’s have died after being pulled from water at Mallacoota this week.
Emergency Services were called to the area just before 3:30pm on Wednesday (February 15), as the couple were dragged out of the water by beachgoers at popular beach, Bastion Point.
The couple were reportedly from Melbourne, visiting family in Mallacoota.
Paramedics attended, but the pair died at the scene.
Victoria Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
People are being reminded about the dangers of swimming at the beach, as a heatwave sweeps across New South Wales and Victoria this weekend.
