Man charged following fatal Moruya car crash

Charges have been laid over a serious crash in Moruya which claimed the life of a 33-year-old Narooma man.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the Princes Highway shortly before 7 last Monday morning, following reports a Holden Colorado and Suzuki Jimny had collided head-on.

The driver of the Suzuki, a 33-year-old Narooma man, became trapped in the wreckage.

He was pronounced dead at the scene died at the scene a short time later.

Both people travelling in the Holden, a 24-year-old man and woman, were taken to Moruya Hospital for treatment.

On Saturday (July 29) the 24-year-old male driver was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.

His licence has been suspended and is expected to face court in Moruya on October 6.
