A much loved Far South Coast music event has been cancelled for 2026.
The Nellijam Festival first started at the Steampacket Hotel in Nelligen 14 years ago attracting big acts such as Thirsty Merc, the Choirboys and Adam Eckersley.
Festival Director Danny Freeman has blamed tough economic conditions for the decision.
“It’s a difficult time at the moment for the music biz, particularly at our level,” Mr Freeman said in a post to social media.
“I kind of feel like the top one percent of the music biz is doing well but the rest of us are struggling,” he said.
“It was much harder this year to secure sponsorship. Absolutely nobody’s fault. Lots of businesses are struggling and worrying about what’s coming up.”
