Hazard reduction burns send smoke into the Far South Coast sky

There is smoke in the air on the Far South Coast with more to come.

A hazard reduction burn was lit up late yesterday to the north of Cobargo at Alanbar, on Barlow Road.

Another burn is planned this afternoon at Turlinjah.

The NSW RFS Tuross Head Brigade will be one of several taking part in the activity with smoke likely to be visible from the Princes Highway.
