Dalmeny’s Valentino Guseli has become the first ever snowboarder to win an FIS World Cup podium in all three freestyle disciplines in a single season.
The South Coast local managed a podium in all three of big air, slopestyle and halfpipe events this season with two silvers coming at Mammoth Mountain in the US over the weekend.

Three other snowboarders have managed the feat of making it onto the podium in all three events but never in the a single season.
The 17-year-old claimed the Halfpipe Silver with a score of 85.2 finishing with a signature frontside 14 while the Slopestyle event was cancelled and reverted to qualifying scores with Val seeded 2nd on 81.5 points – giving him double silver.

The South Coast teenager finished 6th on the halfpipe at his first winter Olympics in Beijing last year and came in third behind fellow Aussie, Scottie James at the X-Games in January.
