It’s official, Narooma has the best public access golf course in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
Golf Australia released its 2023 list for NSW and the ACT’s best public access golf courses this week, and five South Coast courses ranked in the top 40 with the Narooma Golf Club taking out the coveted number one spot.
Mollymook was our next best coming it at 18, followed by Tura Beach Country Club at 24, Club Catalina at 28, and Moruya Golf Club at 38.
“If you’re looking to play Australia’s best courses where tee times are readily available, look no further,” A golf Australia spokesperson said.
“We’ve showcased the finest public access layouts in NSW and the ACT as voted by our Top-100 ranking judges for 2023,” they said.
“In January this year, Golf Australia magazine published its biennial Top-100 Public Access Courses ranking.”
The judges for that ranking cast votes on the best accessible courses they had played or seen during the last two years.
“Using the data received from our judges, we are presenting a state-by-state ranking covering all 100 courses, plus the 30 courses that just missed joining the centurion club,” the spokesperson said.
“We’ve presented the best to be found in NSW and the ACT that received votes from our judges.”
