The driver and sole occupant, a man in his 40’s has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition with suspected leg injuries, by the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter.

Police have been told the driver of the mobile crane swerved to avoid hitting a kangaroo, before the vehicle struck a guard rail and tipped on its side, trapping the driver.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and visit before travelling.
