Bega Valley Shire Council CEO Anthony McMahon is set to remain in his job.
Councillors have decided to renew his contract for another five years.
Mayor Russell Fitzpatrick said Mr McMahon is one of the more experienced leaders in local government in NSW with over 15 years in senior leadership roles.
