Road works will be carried out on Candelo Wolumla Road at the Kameruka Lane intersection, while contractors are set to replace Old Soldier’s Bridge in Wolumla, with a reinforced concrete structure from today.
The Candelo Wolumla Road works will see contractors reconstructing the intersection to improve driver visibility and road safety, as part of the Kameruka Lane Upgrade.
One lane will be closed for the duration of the works with traffic control and traffic lights in place.
Road users are advised to expect delays and allow extra travel time.
Those works are expected to take two weeks.
Meanwhile there will be a change to traffic conditions on Old Soldiers Road at Old Soldier’s Bridge in Wolumla from today as well with works expected until June 9, weather permitting.
Council contractors will be replacing the timber bridge, located about 1km from the Candelo Wolumla Road intersection, with a reinforced concrete structure.
A full road closure on each side of the bridge will be in place. Road users are advised to detour via Candelo Wolumla Road and South Wolumla Road.
Signs will be in place for both projects.
