An investigation has been wrapped up into the discovery of a large fish kills at Bawley Point.
A visiting family from Canberra reported the discovery at Limpid Lagoon near Murramarang Beach a few weeks ago.
A spokesperson from the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development said the thousands of fish, mainly mullet, died as the result of a lack of oxygen.

The waterway is intermittently closed and opened and was shut at the time.
