The Vinnies Op Shop in Bega has temporarily closed it’s doors due to a staff shortage.
The director of fundraising, marketing and communications for the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn, Phillip Jones, said it was “a regrettable situation”, but confirmed assistance was still available for those in need.
“One of the key staff members there had a serious accident and we wish her a fast recovery,” Mr Jones said.
“If anyone in the area is in need, volunteers are still providing immediate assistance via the Bega Shop on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 to 11am,” he said.
“Alternatively you can call Vinnies assist line on 131 812.”
Mr Jones said the shop may be closed for several weeks.
“As soon as we have a reopening date we’ll let the community know.”
