Bega Valley Business Awards to return in 2024

The Bega Valley Business Forum is gearing up to host the highly anticipated Bega Valley Business Awards for a second time.

The event that celebrates the achievements of businesses and individuals throughout the Bega Valley will return to Merimbula’s Club Sapphire on July 27.

Prior to the 2023 event, individual business chambers from across the Bega Valley recognised their own achievements with no joint awards ceremony however the coming together of business chambers from Cobargo, Bega, Tathra, Merimbula, Pambula and Eden was widely welcomed.

The black-tie affair will once again roll out the red carpet for around 300 guests. The auditorium will be transformed into a dazzling spectacle, adorned in elegant black, white, and gold décor.

Excellence in Health, Beauty and Wellness was won by In2skin Cosmetic Clinic (pictured above).  

Nominations open soon for the awards that encompass 14 business categories, such as Excellence in Hospitality and Outstanding Community Organisation, alongside four individual categories, including Outstanding Business Leader and Outstanding Young Business Employee.

Forum President, Nigel Ayling, said the 2023 event was a great success and received overwhelmingly positive feedback.

“Initially intended as a one-off event due to funding, the demand for its return was undeniable,” Ayling said.

“Without the benefit of last year’s funding, the Forum aims to self-fund the event this year and is offering a limited number of sponsorship opportunities. This presents an excellent chance for companies to align their brand with this prestigious event, and we welcome inquiries for involvement.”

The team at 2EC/Power FM – East Coast Radio (pictured above) won the 2023 Employer of Choice Award.

The awards encompass 14 business categories, such as Excellence in Hospitality and Outstanding Community Organisation, alongside four individual categories, including Outstanding Business Leader and Outstanding Young Business Employee.

May 9: Nominations open
May 23: Nominations close
May 28: Judging commences
June 12: Finalists announced and voting for finalists opens
June 24: Tickets for finalists go on sale
July 5: Voting closes for finalists
July 27: Gala Event

Winners from the Bega Valley awards will qualify for the regional Far South Coast Business Awards and may potentially advance to the NSW State Awards in September.
