The Corporate Manager, Governance and Risk is a full-time role reporting directly to the Director, Finance and Corporate Services and based at the Moruya Administration Office. This position is a key member of the Level Three Managers Team contributing to major organisational projects and initiatives, as well as providing leadership for the Governance and Risk division.
You will:
– Provide expert governance advice and develop and manage relevant systems, policies and procedures to ensure Council’s governance, legislative and corporate obligations are met.
– Organise and lead the areas of Risk Management/Insurances, Information Disclosure and Council’s Audit Risk and Improvement Committee.
– Act as Council’s Public Officer, Complaints Coordinator and Public Information Disclosure Officer.
– Oversee the strategic development and delivery of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements, including organisational service reviews.
Your application will further demonstrate the following:
– Extensive experience and qualifications in Governance and Risk Management or related discipline.
– Capacity to operate in a high level collegiate and collaborative role as a member of a management team with an organisation wide perspective.
– Demonstrated expertise in compliance across enterprise risk management, records management, corporate governance and insurance.
– Demonstrated sound judgement in dealing with matters of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.
– Proven ability to develop and implement concepts and ideas establishing organisational/reporting frameworks to support new directions.
– Experience in planning, monitoring and managing a budget.
