Local state MP Michael Holland said moves are already underway to boost the number of ambulances and paramedics on the Far South Coast.
Dr Holland was asked several questions about the issues during a mobile office event at the Catalina Club in Batemans Bay yesterday.
Local Patricia Hellyer told him this was a big concern for the community.
“How many ambulances will you have with paramedics in them? I mean there’s ambulances with paramedics then there’s ambulances with just ambulance staff in them,” she asked.
“So we’ve appointed more,” Dr Holland replied.
“If you want that number I’ll take that on notice and find our for you,” he said.
“That’s very important,” Ms Hellyer said.
Dr Holland said the new hospital will also help ease pressure on our busy paramedics.
