Long Beach man committed to trial on manslaughter

A 54-year-old man has been committed to stand trial in the District Court for the manslaughter of his partner, who committed suicide after being distressed from the 2019/20 bushfires.

Craig Virtue from Long Beach is accused of being “negligent in his actions to save” Kerry Reinhardt after an inquest into her death was halted part heard .

He has pleaded not guilty.

In Batemans Bay Local Court yesterday Virtue was told his matter would be listed in the District Court on May 20 when a trial date will be set.
