Bermagui locals are set to see a return to a clear pedestrian walkway to Long Swamp.
The previous boardwalk to the popular area has been destroyed by continual erosion partly caused by major weather events such as the East Coast low last year.
The land’s manager has confirmed their insurers have finally agreed to cough up the cash for a ‘like for like’ replacement after initially saying no.

The news follows a campaign by locals campaigning for a replacement path so cyclists can avoid riding along a busy Wallaga Lake Road to get to and from town.
