This is a full-time, fixed term position, part of the Major Projects team, based at Council’s Moruya Depot with work carried out across various locations throughout the Shire. The successful candidate will operate mobile plant and attachments while working closely with the Works Supervisor and Assistant Works Supervisors to support the successful delivery of projects. You’ll play an important part in ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, contributing directly to projects that make a real difference in our community. The starting salary for this position is $62,279.74 per annum plus 12% superannuation. Skills Required
You’re a capable plant operator who works safely, communicates well, and contributes positively to a collaborative team environment. Your practical skills, reliability and commitment to safe work practices help ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. You will bring: Relevant certificate III qualification or willingness and ability to obtain. Experience operating plant such as trucks, rollers, loaders, tractors and plant. Demonstrated experience in civil construction and maintenance. Willingness and ability to carry out physical labouring tasks. Strong teamwork, communication, literacy and numeracy skills. Willingness to undertake further training. Basic knowledge and experience using computers/tablets.
