A high profile Canberra lawyer has been banned from getting behind the wheel and fined after being caught high range drink driving with three kids in the car in Batemans Bay.
Former ACT Law Society President Lisa Quilty was arrested in January after being stopped in an Audi on Beach Road at Batehaven on January 4.
Police facts tendered to the court state the 44-year-old recorded a blood alcohol reading of
.194…nearly four times the legal limit.
The Telegraph reports Queanbeyan Judge Roger Clisdell has suspended her from driving for six months and ordered her to pay a $1750 fine.
She will also have to have an interlock device fitted to her casr for two years once she is allowed to drive again.
