Students at Broulee’s Carroll College will finally be able to walk or ride their bikes to school after the cancelling of a 30-year ban.
Eurobodalla Shire Council has voted to rescind the rule that was introduced three decades ago over safety fears.
From next term students will be able to cross George Bass Drive at the Broulee Road roundabout before walking or riding along a sectioned off grass path.
The new arrangements will be trialled for six months.
Council General Manager Mark Ferguson told the meeting installing traffic lights would be the ideal solution in the long term but neither they or the school current has funding to pay for that.
