Administration Officer

An exciting opportunity to join the Area Command South Eastern team. The role provides a broad range of administrative support including meeting and events coordination, preparation of documents, SAP support, records maintenance and data entry. You will be the key point of contact for the Area Command, utilising your exceptional communication and customer service skills to liaise with staff, volunteers and community members. Key accountabilities: 1. Assist with a range of administrative support services, including filing and records management, mail receipt and sorting, maintenance of registers/databases, photocopying, compilation of manuals and reports. 2. Support meetings/workshops including preparing agendas, organising venues and catering and distributing minutes to support the effectiveness of the team/sections event. 3. Respond to customer service enquiries in a responsive manner to achieve a positive customer experience. 4. Draft correspondence, develop and maintain spreadsheets, and assist with content for internal publication to support the achievement of the team objectives. 5. Provide financial and purchasing assistance for financial for the team such as obtaining quotes, raising/goods receipting purchase orders, raising/ processing invoices, journals and providing routine stock/budget reports such that the team/sections requirements are met in an efficient manner and within budget. 6. Coordinate office systems, procedures and organisational methods to improve office efficiency in accordance with Policies, Service Standards, Handbooks/Manuals and protocols.

Skills Required

Essential Requirements: – A Certificate II in a relevant discipline (e.g. Administration), or equivalent expertise. – During periods of major operational activity, the incumbent may be required to support operational management activities consistent with their skills and background. As an experienced administrator, you will have attention to detail and experience utilising various technologies, preferably including SAP and MS Office applications. You will enjoy providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers. An appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based community service will be highly regarded.
