A try with four minutes left on the clock has given Tathra a close victory over Bega in Round 6 of the Group 16 Men’s First Grade rugby league competition.
The Sea Eagles trailed the Roosters 22-14 at the 60th minute mark but two late tries including in the 76th minute when front rower Travys Downton crashed over the try line sealed the 26-22 win.
The game marked Tathra’s Centenary Celebration Round and the annual Terry Dickson Men of League Challenge.

In other results, Eden sent Cooma back home without the competition points after the Tigers won their clash 16-14.
Merimbula Pambula scored a come from behind 32-20 win against Narooma and Bombala 34 defeated Moruya 12.
