State of Origin decider has Far South Coast link

A local connection to the State of Origin decider up in Sydney overnight.

Pambula Merimbula Golf Club apprentice Rory McAlpin was part of the team that prepared the Accor Stadium surface for the sell out game.

Unfortunately for most on the Far South Coast, the Blues lost the clash and series to Queensland.

Rory will also be responsible for preparing the surface for this year’s Group 16 Grand Finals at Pambula Sporting Complex.
