Batemans Bay begin a new era this weekend as they step up to the AFL Canberra Premier Competition.
The milestone also marking the start of the Seahawks 50th anniversary.
The club will host the Huddle Round at Hanging Rock this weekend which will see all teams play their Round One games in the town over two day.
The Seahawks Senior Women and Men up against Tuggeranong on Sunday afternoon.
New Men’s Seniors Coach Sam Martyn said he’s been really impressed with how the squad has handled the pre-season.
“It’s been a fantastic preseason so far. I guess being a new groove from my perspective finding a lot of challenges their way,” Martyn said.
“They’ve been phenomenal in adapting to the way we want to play and and trying to meet that level that we’re going to face in the Premier Division so I couldn’t be more proud of the way they’ve participated in preseason and I think we’re all just looking forward to playing against some opposition for points now,” he said.
