Maisie on the look out for more local sponsorship support

Maisie Place is set to drive again this weekend in her fourth race in as many weeks.

The mechanic, car builder and racer to drive her beloved bright green Frogger in the Mazda RX8 Cup day night race at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Maisie coming off her first finish in the Sydney 300 last Saturday night and navigating the the Bega Valley Rally the weekend before.

The Far South Coast driver is seeking help from local supporters to help keep her career on the race track.

Maisie operates her own mechanical business in Moruya while spending every spare moment on her passion, Mazda RX8 cars to compete in.

Maisie said she is keen to find some additional sponsors for her vehicles Stella and Frogger.

“I’m always looking for sponsors because it is very hard where we are totally self-funded and we are struggling this year, especially we’ve had a lot of curveballs thrown at us with now Frogger needing a new engine and stuff like that,” Miss Place said.

“I love having local businesses on the car. I always try and keep it mainly local businesses. Broulee Supermarkets and Cellers has been one of my biggest, biggest helps. Mal is just awesome as well as Bay Removals and Reid Transport,” she said.

“They have supported me through my whole career. So it’s really cool to be able to carry those local businesses on my car.

“Yeah I’m always looking for more sponsors because it is an expensive game and I am a young person trying to do it on my own with the help of my mum and dad, of course, but yeah, always looking for more.”
