Late penalty goal deliver draw between Eden and Tathra

A penalty goal three minutes from fulltime has saved Eden from a loss to Tathra in the Group 16 Men’s First Grade rugby league competition.

The Sea Eagles took a 22-20 lead after a converted Liam Rankin try in the 65th minute before Tigers five eighth Demir Acarer slotted the penalty goal to draw the tough Round 7 clash at George Brown Oval.

Also yesterday, Bega were too strong for Batemans Bay 24-points-to-8.
