Defending Group 16 Premiers Tathra are battling the clock to recruit players ahead of the kick off to the Group 16 Competition on the Anzac Day Weekend.
Experienced forwards Michael Finucane, Mitch Carter and Malcolm Green all hanging up the boots after claiming the silverware last year.
Captain Coach Tyran Stevenson said finding experienced replacements for them is very hard.
“We’d love to have them for another year, to be honest. We’re still looking for a couple of replacements. We’re still, still trying to find someone to replace them at the moment,” Tyran said.
“It’s definitely proven tough. Especially Tathra is a pretty small town as it is, a bit of a holiday town. A lot of people that own houses here don’t actually live here so we are already under the pump,” he said.
“There’s not as many jobs, not as many houses. There’s a housing crisis to add on top of it. It definitely makes makes it hard and the money isn’t the same as some other places that are offering at the moment.”
The Sea Eagles will play a trial game against Eden next weekend.
