‘Boil over in the Bay’ as Sea Eagles go down to Tigers

A boil over in the Bay for Round Ten of the Group 16 Men’s First Grade Rugby League Competition.

The Bay Tigers upset defending Premiers Tathra 24-12 in a tough and sometimes ill-disciplined display by both sides.

Lock Jayden Wolfe starred for the home team at MacKay Park, picking up two tries and proving hard to handle in the clash, which also marked game 200 for veteran fullback Dennis Green. The day made even more special with a smoking ceremony for the Indigenous Round clash and Dennis emerging from dressing room with his kids and draped in an Aboriginal flag.

In other results, Narooma smashed Moruya 36-4 and Bega sent Bombala back home over the mountain with their tails between their legs. The Roosters beating the Blue Heelers with recent recruit from Eden, centre Tawhiwhi Karaitiana crossing for four tries.
