A former Bega tobacco shop worked has pleaded guilty to propositioning a 15-year-old girl after placing a handwritten note inside a product she bought saying “I like you” and his contact number.
Bega Local Court has heard the teenager contacted him two days later and was told Sunny Shaileshbhai Patel requested sexual acts in exchange for a vape and cigarettes.
Bega District News reports when Patel later met the girl in a car, he demanded sex before handing over the items.
Court papers state “When she refused, he grabbed her leg to pull her into the vehicle before she threatened to call police, causing him to leave.”
He’s due to be sentenced later today.
