A house in Bega has been destroyed by fire just down the street from where a man was allegedly stabbed to death just weeks ago.
44-year-old local Gordon Kessey was found dead in a park on East Street earlier this month while a second man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Fire crews were alerted to the blaze in the same street on Friday morning. Fire and Rescue NSW Bega Station responded with two appliances and back up from several local RFS brigades.

Police have confirmed the cause is suspicious.
