Smash and grab accused hit with new charge

One of three people charged over a smash and grab at a Far South Coast club has had another charge laid against him.

26-year-old Joshua Hicks appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court yesterday over the theft of a cash rewards machine from the Catalina Club in the town last year.

The court was told Hicks has now been charged with aggravated breaking and entering to commit a serious indictable offence of stealing more than $60,000. Three other charges have also been withdrawn.

His bail has been continued. The case will be listed again in May.
