The search area for a fisherman, who failed to return to Batemans Bay on the weekend, has been extended up to the Hunter.
Day three of a multi-agency search failed to find any trace of 56-year-old Geoff Buchanan.
He hasn’t been seen since he departed the local marina for a day out at sea.

Police say they are now looking as far north as Port Stephens and south to the Victorian border following unconfirmed sightings of the missing vessel.
