Rare white whale sighting off the Far South Coast

A rare sighting for whale watches just north of Batemans Bay.

Rescue group ORRCA reporting a white humpback whale has been spotted off the coast at South Durras and captured by Khynan Gardner with a drone.

The rare juvenile white species appeared to be travelling north.

ORRCA said the whale is definitely not the famous “Migaloo.”

Migaloo’s last confirmed sighting was 5 years ago and until now was considered the only true white whale on the country’s East Coast.
