A magistrate has ruled a local police officer is not guilty of assaulting three girls and a woman while on duty here on the Far South Coast.
37-year-old Senior Constable Brett David Lindsay fronted a court hearing yesterday fighting the charges which stemmed from a call to a brawl at Bridge Plaza Shopping Centre at Batemans Bay in October last year.
Magistrate Michael Love found the officer’s actions were not excessive.

The ruling comes just weeks after Senior Constable Lindsay was convicted of assaulting two teenage boys during an arrest two days later.
He has lodged an appeal against the rulings.
