A local police officer remains suspended from duty and his employment is under review after being convicted of assaulting two teenage boys at a former Batemans Bay motel.
Magistrate Doug Dick found Senior Constable Brett David Lindsay overstepped his powers while trying to arrest the boys in late 2022.
Body worn camera footage played to the court shows the officer take the victims to the ground before punching one of then in the collarbone with a closed fist.

Senior Constable Lindsay has now lodged an appeal against the findings with the District Court.
