Rescuers have set off on foot this morning in the Budawang National Park to reach the site of light plane crash.

The pilot, believed to aged in his early 60’s, was the only person aboard when an emergency distress signal was transmitted later yesterday afternoon.

An initial search by helicopter located the crash sight but the hard terrain in the densely wooded area and the weather meant the search had to be put on hold until this morning.
