A Malua Bay man will have to stay in jail till April over offences connected to 3D printed firearms.
25-year-old Ordie Olah has been held inside South Coast Correctional Centre at Nowra since his arrest in July last year.
He pleaded guilty to possession of a 3D printed gun part in contravention of a prohibition order and a 3D gun blueprint. An additional offence of having ammunition while not licenced was also taken into account during sentencing.
The court was told Olah had seen the error of his ways after finding God while behind bars.
He was convicted of similar offences in 2020.
Magistrate Doug Dick asked the young father if he could see his family in the court?
When he replied yes the the magistrate told him “Isn’t it about time that you made them proud?”
He was sentenced to 18 months behind bars but will be eligible for parole after serving nine.
