New water storage in the Bega Valley

It’s out with the old and in with the new at Bemboka and Bermagui.

Work to replace two water reservoirs is underway for the towns.

In Bemboka, the 36-year-old steel water tank is being replaced with a 420,000 litre modern fusion-bonded epoxy coated one designed to last for at least 50 years.

Bega Valley Shire Council is also replacing the existing concrete tank with a 1.6 megalitre one to supply the Brogo–Bermagui water system.
