Police have revealed they have seized further items for forensic examination after a search of a private property in Bega near the site of a murder last month.
43-year-old Gordon Kessey was stabbed to death in a park on East Street in the early hours of October 6.
A second man, Benjamin Smith, was rushed to hospital and has since been released.
A statement issued this afternoon by police –
“Following information from the public, NSW Police divers on Monday 17 November 2025 and yesterday (Tuesday 18 November 2025), searched a private property and the Glebe Wetlands on East Street, Bega.
“Items were recovered at the first location and were seized for forensic examination.”
Police revealed last week they were looking for a double-edged dagger that they believe was the murder weapon.
